We had Chinese takeout on New Years Eve. After all our guests had left I realized that I hadn't opened my fortune cookie. Now I don't really read a lot into these, but usually they are crappy anyway, like "find a hobby, it will relax your nerves." or "find yourself."
Anyway, this was my special fortune :)
I feel so blessed to have so many little ones in our life. I can't wait until we have one of our own, but we are lucky to be involved in our nieces lives. They are so special to us and we feel like it is our responsibility to love and nurture them, just as we would our own. We also grateful for the blessing it is to teach the CTR 5 class. We will miss our class that just moved on today (I was so proud of them!) but so excited to meet our new kids. They are so sweet and even though they are so little, they have testimonies. I feel so humbled that we are able to hear them each week and see them learn and grow.
Whether our own or not, children will most definitely always play an important role in our lives.

Aw I love fortune cookies! Sorry I never called about New Years Eve... we were pretty much lame that night :) It sounds like you guys had a good time though. Did you guys get a Wii for Christmas???

I am so sorry we missed your party, Emma is now better as of last night. Ya she was sick for 6 days. Thanxs a lot! I am just kidding I really don't blame you. But we had an good new years eve... This will tell you how cool we are. We watched 24 until 11:30pm then we watched the ball drop and went right back to 24 for the next couple hours. I think it is now safe to say that we are addicted to 24!!!
You know, it wasn't too long after getting a fortune cookie that said "You will receive a surprising gift very soon" we were matched with a birthmother. Now we have the most beautiful baby boy in the whole world! We hope you find your baby soon, too :)
