7 Things about me

Sarah tagged me to write 7 things you might not know about me. So here we go!

#1. I am my own aunt.
You might have to read this a couple times. I usually have to explain it a couple times. When I was 8 years old my Grandparents adopted me which made them my parents, it made my birth mother my sister and made me my own aunt. Other interesting family connections, my uncle is my brother, my brother is my nephew, my cousins are also now nephews. I hated family tree time in high school.

#2. Rupture Achilles

When I was 19 I decided to take an aerobics class at Weber State. Around March of that class as we were doing lunges I heard something snap against the hardwood gym floor. It was my foot. My Achilles snapped right in two. My friend asked if I was okay, and I didn't feel anything, so I said yeah, I think so. Then I took a step and I was not okay. It was so creepy, my foot just hanging there, I couldn't move it at all. One of the teachers came over and said he thought it had just torn a little, but I knew. I could push the back of my ankle in all the way to the bone. Then he said I should go to the Dr. that I might need a cast. And then I realized he was probably right and that it would mean I could have a cast on all summer. And it was THEN that I started crying. NO SWIMMING AT BEAR LAKE!! Pure blasphemy.

I did have a cast on pretty much the whole summer. It started with one that went up to my behind. I played sega for a whole month, I love Sonic. Then I had one just up to my knee until about August. Around the middle of August I had a trip planned to Lake Powell with some friends. It ended up storming one night and we were stuck in our tents for HOURS. I got so bored that I decided to cut my cast off with my trusty swiss army knife. The cast was a little wet and I told myself my foot could rot if I didn't do something soon (ya right.) After that trip I tried to convince my Dr. that I was indeed fine and had survived 3 days without my cast but he insisted on putting another one and left it on for 2 more weeks, just in time for school to start.

#3. I'm afraid someone I know will die in a car accident.

Did I mention I'm scared of this everyday? It's just a paranoia I have. I pray everyday that everyone I know will be safe.

#4. I thought I would marry a skateboarder...

...or something to that affect. For those of you who know Zach, you know that this really, REALLY is not the case. He is the preppiest person I know, the boy has so many plaid shirts, it's insane. ( I think plaid is his sickness.) BUT I adore him more than anything else!

#5. I like to watch every episode of TV shows.

It started off with Dawson's Creek. I caught reruns on TBS or TNT or one of those channels in the middle of the whole teenage drama and just had to know how it all begun. Since then I have watched every episode of Scrubs, The Office, Friends (which is the best, by the way), Charmed, Full House, Alias, and probably more. Now we are trying to watch all of 24. (Thanks Kimi and Andy!)

#6. I throw up.

I didn't think this one really needed a picture. It all started in Jr. High when I was walking up the stairs right after lunch and on the handrail my hand slid over a loogie. I threw up right there in front of all 2nd lunch on the stairs. Since then it's just gotten worse. If you'd really like to hear a funny story about throw up ask me about my KFC story some time. It's a hoot. So, no, I'm not bulimic or anything like that. I just gag easy and can't really control it. The Elder's in my district in the MTC thought it was hilarious. They would get all the random food they could find and mix it up and eat it in front of me, it was totally a game for them. Ah, memories...

#7. I'm obsessed with real estate.

Zach thinks I just really want to move, which of course I'd like to, but it is much deeper than that. I look at the local MLS everyday to see who has lowered there prices. It's like a game for me. I like to find the best deals. I really like the new home building business. I think it would be one of the greatest jobs to sell new homes and work in a model home. I'm a little crazy perhaps. Last night Zach said he was going to give me coupons that will give me time with him to walk through model homes (1 per coupon.) I recently started asking other people to go to model homes with me. A couple months ago my sister-in-law and I went down to Daybreak
and made a whole day of it. She's great. I have a dream that we will be able to build on our own land one day. We want to live on acres in a small town. It would be great. I love to look at house plans. I love seeing all the ways to fit the rooms together. If this is something you enjoy, look at EPlans.com
